This guy has good videos. His lessons fly over the heads of a lot of the more arrogant people on here. But he definitely knows what he's doing.

@MaggotMuncher96 That's an 18-inch bass drum that jazz drummers use. His beater has to be positioned that high due to the relative sizes of the pedal and the BD. As for the sound, I think it sounds pretty nice for an 18".
This guy has played for 27 years and teaches drums, he's damn skilled and after watching his other video I'm even more sure about it. He doesn't suck at teaching, he probably had to make a short video because that's the set amount of time given to him by the filmmaker.

@propernutrition Yes that is possible but everyone has their own approach to their foot techniques. You'll find most dual-kick metalcore guys will bury their beaters in, same with most other generic neighbourhood rockstar drummers.
Of the many tutors I studied under so far, none of them buried their beaters in. But none of them play death metal either. And all my death metal friends bury their beaters in...

the bass drum resonates soooooooooooooo much!!!!!!!!

his bass drum is way too small to get any quality in sound, his beater is positioned way too high up on the head of the drum, he did basically the correct heal toe, and he sucks at teaching
