Hi there, quick question... I'm getting the old iphone 3G and if i were to upgrade the software to os 3.0 could i; Send and reiceve MMS messages, record video and do the other things that can be done on the iphone 3GS?

go to the o2 wesite, i had the same problem. as for ringtones download a free piece of software caller iringer

and i did install the 3.0 software today and my mms didnt work? Cant believe no picture mail yet! any news on that.....everything else was koo though..felt like a new fone

when will iphone be able to set ringtone songs to differant contacts, or from itunes maybe bcuz i dont hv any kool tunes....jus those that apple gave us....

My issue is this: I bought the iPhone 3G after the March 18th announcement and anticipated the exciting SOFTWARE updates in June as there was no mention of HARDWARE changes.

in australia the iPhone is $800, why apple?

If I am not mistaken, the iPhone is available in Australia for $800 with no contract agreement with a wireless carrier. Here in the United States, they require a 2 year contract agreement for the cheaper price.
