The real measure of speed and power is power ti weight ratio which come from power (horsepower) divided with weight (i choose kilograms)

1.lambo has about 600 of horse power in 1.500 kilograms of weight, it means it has POWER to WEIGHT ratio (600 HP divided with 1500) is 0.4 HP/KG..

2.Gixxer has 150 HP in only 170 KG weight results 0.8 HP/KG..

result: .lambo's do 0-60 in 3,5 secs, gixxer do it in 3.0 secs..

lambo's 0-120 in 14 secs, gixer smokes in 10 secs..

Lambo between 500HP and 570HP (2003 / 2012) @ 1.330kg-1.570kg (Superleggera, stock) + driver @ 90kg means best case 570hp/1.420kg = 0,4 hp/kg worst case 500hp/1.660kg = 0,3 hp/kg. GSX-R 1000 K7/8 weights with fuel etc. 200kg + driver 90kg = 290kg, they put out stock ~168hp @ backwheel. 168hp / 290kg = 0,58 hp/kg. so about 50% better power/weight ratio. you need a very good rider to get the bike in 3,0 sec. to 60 mp/h most possibly need more like 4 sec.

@yellowmonkeyisme Thats a pretty low number for the GSXR1000. Most G1k's (07-08) are more in the 160-170 range.. But anyway, nothing beats a bikes p/w ratio..

@sFde46 Yup! that why gixxer can only do 0-60 in 3 secs, not in 2s. since it's P2W ratio is two times higher than Lambo's.

but even with the addition of rider's weight, i assume 80 kilos that made 250kgs of total weight. the P2W ratio is still 0.6_still enough to smoke lambo.

@IAlternateMyCapitals hehe.. that's the point, Lambo with it's 12 time higher price is not 12 times faster than Gixxer.. This is the point where you choose to SPEND your cash in Gixxer, or WASTE it for Lambo..

I look at it as:

£137,900 for the Lamborghini

£10,870 for the GSX-R1000

Given the choice i would have the limbo, but only to sell it and buy 12 GSX-R1000's and still have quite a lot of change.
