The first inductees to our wall of shame have been chosen. They are the cast of "Death At A Funeral" - the unnecessary 2010 remake of the passable 2007 comedy from the UK. Thanks for appealing to every stereotype Hollywood has ever invented in depicting Blacks in America. You should be proud of yourselves. I'm sure that Dr. King, Malcolm, and all of our ancestors are thankful that you thought enough of their hard work and sacrifice to make this film for future generations. An award is hardly enough what you're giving us with this film. So, shame on you Chris Rock, Martin Lawrence, Danny Glover, Tracy Morgan, Zoe Seldana, and Lorretta Divine. It's 2010. We're still doing this type of thing?

  • Those were some of the most childish reasons i've heard in awhile. Gay men with families, it happens. Interracial couples, it happens. Go watch Hollywood Shuffle or something. At least Townsend was LIVING that nightmare not just sitting in his room ripping on something he's not even seen. The actors in this movie appeal to more than just the black community, its a shame that race is all u can c in it.

  • @Azzbuster There's not much more there...you tell me what I should be seeing? It's not the homosexual relationship that I am focusing my energy on. I saw Dirty Laundry with Lorretta Divine and Rockmond Dumbar and thought that was tasteful. If anything, this movie makes a complete mockery of homosexuals. Comedy is one thing, but they shouldn't want to be portrayed as mindless buffoons either.

  • man shut ya dumb...ugly lookin tall head robot lookin ......ur wack son!

  • obviously you haven't seen neither the remake or this movie and you are just talking out your ass. You must be one of those people that watch a trailer and think u have seen the movie. There is a difference between 2:00 minutes and 2 hours. But you are welcome to your opinion, but opinions are more respected when people actually know what they talking about or have some context. If you needed something to laugh at, turn around and look at your recording studio, impressive....

  • @blacktreemedia If they managed to pack that much foolishness in a 2 minute preview, no one in the world needs to watch the other 1 hour, 58 minutes. The preview did the job of making my point sufficiently.

  • wow don't judge a movie from its trailer. it's a remake of a movie where the scripts are almost identical. everything that happens in the UK version, happens in the new one. I think you took this a little too far with this whole stereotype thing just because it was a predominantly black movie. the movie is okay and it's not offensive at all so jus chill

  • The original was really funny. I was surprised they remade it. I'm always surprised when they remake movies when there are so many great writers out there. I don't see the movie as having black stereotypes. I think one movie doesn't do the damage that everyday thug music vilifying Black woman. Most mainstream american movies are trash anyways. What did you expect?

  • Only a brain washed fool doesn't understand that it's a concentrated effort to always make us look low and these uncle Tom actors can only see the money that's why if u check it all black male actors at som point in order to move up in Hollywood have to take it in the ass or put on the dress... Ask urself why is that ???....pay attention my people and stop watchin these movies to get entertained...look below the surface !!!

  • Here, here MetaChannel! Add Tyler Fairy - I mean Perry - to that list while you're on the subject.

  • Thanks brother.

  • Thanks for keepn it real... I too am getting tired of the stereo types and everybody tells me im takin things too serious, but really nooooobody in our community takes anything serious enough.. everythings a damn joke!

  • ....persons choice of drug. Its a comedy who cares m8.

  • Wow u talk a lot of shit. People like you cause racism, why is it always about colour? Get over ya self, the film was fucking funny if you didn't laugh then you don't have a sense of humour. You can look into anything and come up with some bullshit like this for example 3 white people in the film was a stereo typical white 'midget' as you called him the other was a bloke that was bordering on obsessing over that chick and the other popped a pill and was fucked as mainly its a white persons choi

  • @youwashmeka123 Sad to say but some of us are constantly around blacks that live up to the stereotype...many black reinforce stereotypes. Other races make satirical movies about their stereotypes. I think this movies was just a crazy movie and not anywhere near the level of coonery you will find in a Tyler Perry movie. Oh if a black movie has negative stereotypes in it, it is a reflection of real life in it. We do need more of a balance/diversity of the type of black characters in movies.

  • @albertoxFTW Zoe Saldana is black ROTFLMAO...there are black hispanics you know and she is one. WOW!

  • @Incogneedo great point!
