i went up to the top and i was crammed into those little tiny elevators, then we got to the top and a voice over a speaker says "welcome to the top of the gateway arch". Then we walked the single flight of stairs to this long arch shaped room. and all you see are butts left and right, people leaning down looking out the little windows. Then we looked out the window and i felt like i was falling. It was amazing once we got up to the top though.
The first time i came to St Louis was in November 1997 the 4 days i was there it was 40 degrees and overcast. That Saturday was the only good day. I whent back to St Louis on August 2005 it was HOT! HOT! HOT!, 90 degrees the first 102 the last day. I love the Arch.
i was in that EXACT car going down the arch a year ago. lol
