  • @DRdrummer08 Probably your ISO settings are too high. You do need to be near some light and keep the ISO as low as possibly with the aperture as high as possible. In post crush the blacks a little and the grain should be minimal. Also if you are using the lens that comes with the kit it wont look great, may as well shoot with a Sony Z5. Have a look at my work, mainly used f1.4 50mm prime lens.

  • Hi

I got my 7D through today and like an excited kid i got shooting right away. The files i preview on my computer are SO visually noisey! i dont know what im doing wrong? if its the settings? my lighting? the lense? the only thing i can do is upload one to show you how shite it looks!

    any help?

    (lense 18 - 135mm)

  • yeah i figured after i wrote that comment xD

  • @saschacolin : Thats not an S2 ;) More an S4 :P

  • What ISO and other settings did you use on this camera?

  • nice S2 xD

  • @metalfingers89 i tried using a 3200 iso and had a lot of noise in the video once i looked at it later on. i was not happy with it

  • @Worldview87 remember that the 7d has a aps-c sized sensor so the itll almost double the focal lenght so if you get a 50mm itll now be around a 85mm so take that in to consideration when picking you lenses or if you decide to go with a ef-s lense that are only made for aps-c sized sensors then itll be the mm it says it is !!

  • the 50 is better glass go with that

  • I was wondering, should I get the EF 50mm 1.8 or the 18-135mm ?

I want to use my 7D for both short distances and landscapes. The 18-135 gives it a less realistic look and more filmlike. The 50m 1.8 looks more real. I'm thinking about the 50mm because of the price range. Or is the 18-135 worth the money?
