Caroline Wadhams from the Center for American Progress says the suicide attack that targeted US Vice President Cheney during his visit to Bagram Afghanistan offers some troubling signs of renewed vigor for the Taliban and new tactics for terror in Afghanistan.

US and allies will keep on taking the casualties and situation would get worse and worse, unless the Pakistani problem is solved. Pakistan is playing double game all along, sending and training the Taliban cadres and pretending to help allies to get aid. Karzai is crying hoarse to solve this Paki problem and it seems US and allies are taking pro-active steps to sort out this Paki mess.

it is a shame Cheney wasn't killed, but the taliban will get him eventually. it's good to see this, because it proves a few things.
1. No-one can defeat terrorism.
2. Bin Laden is in good health.
3. Americans are all wankers.

you do realise that in 2001 the taliban was in washington discussing a free trade agreement don't you?. and that they've never been linked to 911?. maybe this new bombing is a reaction to being invaded?. you americans love seeing everything like you are the victims you're funny.
