The CD is probably going to replace Electro-Shock Blues as my favorite EELS album. The entire album is melancholy and he has a lot of recurring themes of heartbreak and aging.

Brilliant album. And almost a complete 180 from Hombre Lobo.

Truth.

I always like Es "short beard" albums. His "long beard" albums arent as good. He tends to make those doggy/wolfy blues songs then. Not a fan, personally.

But Electro-Shock Blues and Blinking Lights blow my damn mind.
