This clip is an excerpt from the "Advanced Bluegrass Rhythm Guitar" DVD from Flatpicking Guitar Magazine featuring Wyatt Rice. In addition to teaching advanced rhythm techniques to a number of bluegrass standards, Wyatt also teaches the rhythm accompaniment that he uses when backing up his brother Tony Rice in the Tony Rice Unit. Here Wyatt shows his rhythm technique on Tony's tune "Manzanita". Tony also appears on two other segments of this DVD, playing "Waltz for Indira" and "Devlin." The entire DVD can be purchased at www.flatpickingmercantile.com

  • I wanna see Devlin!!!

  • Tony Rice is a good ole boy, totally not a Borat! (Neither is Wyatt :P! ) I'd love to see one of those amazing Japanese fingerstyle players try to tackle some of Tony Rice's stuff. If anyone can send me a link of something like that, I'd love to see it. Seems to me that they have so many amazing technical guitarists over there, would love to see them tackle the true soul of Bluegrass.
