NEVER NEVER NEVER underestimate warrior women, and especially not the Amazons, Sarmatians and Celts. They rivaled men in strength and scared the daylights out of their adversaries. RESPECT

sorry to burst your bubble but the Babylonians circa 2800 BC invented soap
and YES, the Romans taught the Celts how to bath

@squirell1952 While there had been hunter gatherers in Ireland long before, the Cruithne were the first notable people of Ireland. They were working the land and had ruling class system long before the celts (gaelic speakers) ever arrived. Some say they were similar to the picts of Scotland from where they came. Ulster is named after a cruithne sub tribe..the Uliadh. The ancesters of todays gaels came to Ireland last and the cruithne were still there.

@Albertgr Actually it was the Celts who invented soap and taught the Greeks and Romans to bathe.

@TheShadowwolf88 YEAH northern tribes of europe should be without any doubt the heroes yeah! AWESOME TRIBES! they didn't even know the meaning of "having a bath" till those "roman pigs" met them..."PAH!!"
-
@squirell1952 "are the picts not descended from the Nortrwegians???"
Certainly not, as the romans encountered and described the picts during their campaigns in northern britain. Several modern day scotsmen are probably descendants of both the picts and norwegian settlers, however.

at one point the picts had a warrior queen who led them into battle by legend in a celtic chariot jumping off mid journey and charging towards the enemy screaming the war call

how old are the pictish? there is an island in cork harbour called Spike Island, a corruption of Pict Island. Were the picts not the first people in Britain? The welsh say they, themselves, were first!! And who first discovered Ireland? the picts or the Welsh? God, this reads likd a detective who-dunnit story, does it not? And are the picts not ddescended from the Nortrwegians??? Just asking!

@panzermort
It's not a bad film, but sure it's got the Hollywood polish to it, though at least it does have some historical facts, like Pict women being very cunning, brave fighters. Some people think that's the ficticious part, they are so misguided. :)
