hello, the only people responsible for the permit/permission for the building of the mosque is the planning board that approved it.. if the people in NY don't want it, they hold a special election and get a new planning board in place that reflect the masses views.. simple..

Thank you Obama for stating the obvious everyone knows they have the right that is not the argument its a sensitive area. Muslims did kill 3,000 Americans on 9/11. You don't see people complain about mosques going up anywhere else in America!

@ladylordess presidents are not elected to "lead" but to uphold the Constitution of the United States. Though I do agree he's doing a poor job of that on other issues (ie healthcare)
