Which handgun should you buy? Not this one. My Taurus 1911 didn't work. It was a jam-o-matic. Used Winchester, Federal, and Remington 230 grain ammo, both hardball and hollow point. Malfunctions with all brands. Got worse as the gun got dirty, after about 250 rounds at a time the gun started to slow down and you can really tell the slide is dragging. Clean it or else you won't be able to enjoy yourself or train. Ambi grip safety falls off, and when it's on it snags on everything. Not a good gun.

  • The double feed problem is the mags suck and the failure to extract is operator error .45 cal and limp wrists are not a good combo you and your shooter are tools

  • You might want to get a new recoil spring.... Duh! You know parts do wear on a gun...

  • taurus makes a decent revolver, but not a semi auto

  • second guy does not know a fire arm from his asshole. As stated before and like my father says: 1911s are for men. If you hold a Wilson Combat like a pussy of course its going to jam. Learn how to handle it like you've got something in your sack and it won't jam.

  • You get an "A" for effort, but i personally am NOT into your montage. The in the truck, on the truck, under the truck action is best left for porn flicks. Anyhow, what I really wanted to emphasize was that your buddies gun handling/clearing methods are extremely dangerous and scary to watch.

  • The mags suck. I put my buddies colt mag in mine and it performed ok. Still not as crip as a colt or kimber. But half the price.

  • Your extractor is toast. Order a new one. I suggest a Bulletproof Wilson Combat style one. Use the Series 80 style that has the cutouts for the firing pin block. Put a new one in it. It isn't hard.

  • Had a buddy have his new, stainless steel pt1911 shear an extractor. I keep reading about other problems that're similar... I purchased a regent r200s and it's flawless. no taurus for me.
