On this video I explain how I get up to six months or more on a standard Schick Quattro blade. Before I switched to this magic soap I used to change a blade every week ... at least once!

I don't go this long to save money, I already saved a fortune, but why change the blade when it is still doing a great job? When it doesn't feel good any more, I will change. Simple as that.

I will do a shaving video in a couple of days to show that it really is still doing great.

  • "and make sure that u don`t get razor .... " ? i can not understand what he says min 0.28

  • @yynnoopp It's 'razor burn'

  • I wonder where the notion of shaving your facial hair came from in the first place. It's like circumcision, there's no good reason to do it, but most people do it (at least here in the US). I shave once in a blue moon - just to give my face a breather. Never do it for more than a week at a stretch. Anybody remember the old Sat. Night LIve routine where they made fun of twin blades by introducing a razor with three? Go figure, now we have them with five. Pretty f-ing absurd.

  • @dwcarkuff Yes, I agree on both counts! A pointless exercise on both counts but I find keeping a beard neat more of a hassle. OK, the twin blades were a definite improvement on the DE. I am now on a Quatro (because my twin blade broke and it was cheaper than a twin) but I don't see any difference. As I say in my video, it's the soap and technique that makes the difference.

  • @magiclifestyle101 twin blades - improvement over a DE? Get your technique right, what can I say..

  • @Helveticum13 Twin blades definitely work best for me. I used DE for about 20 years but when twin blades came out I switched. I don't understand the passion for DE. Cool if you like them but why do people have a fuss when others use twin blades?

  • I've switched to the super economical DE or double edge safety razor blades. You can buy them on ebay or amazon. The handle is a bit expensive but the blades are very cheap. A pack of 10 blades will cost between $5 to $7 with free shipping. You'll save alot more money. DE blades are sharper and lasts longer. Merkur are German blades, excellent quality. But Feather brand are Japanese, simply the sharpest! Try the Merkur safety razor, its the classic razor that grandpa used. The best!

I agree, I had lot of problems with shaving like ingrown hair and redness and my face would burn. I asked help in "traditional shaving" forums and they assured me that a brush plus leathered shaving cream plus a DE would solve all my problems. I was so excited and believed this for a long time till eventually I bought a pretty expensive DE, learned all the right techniques and everything. But actually my problems worsened and I didn't get a close shave as with the mach 3

It came from humans themselves. All the primitive populations known in this world shave. There are even certain populations in Kalahari desert and Papa Guinea islands that remove every hair from their body. Egyptians shaved and even neanderthal men shaved. So it seems to me that shaving is an universal human instinct and having less hair as possible is a universal attractive feature

  • It all depends how thin your hairs are. Too thick will kill that blade.
