I like the performance aspect of Battles, they use loop pedals instead of samples which is awesome and difficult to do. Samples ruin live performances, in my opinion. There are alot small parts an details in their songs which I enjoy. The down side is that the repeative, but is sort of give you a trace like effect they your under their control. Don't know if I would enjoy an entire show of this, but they are an impressive band. I like this song because it's uniqueness and primitive elements.
