@GymMuch There's no way to actually record video with it. Best you can do is hook up the video out jack to a VCR. The solution Ogiroux proposes is a hack, and honestly, not much different at all (a computer takes place of the VCR... that's all) It's not HD and the framerate is terrible. Your best bet is to keep using your superb D700 for photos, and get a cheap D3100 for HD video.

Could you please explain to me how to video on the d700? I have purchased this camera two weeks ago and I still can't figure out how to film videos with it.......
