I don't go all the way down because I have arthritis in both shoulders and a large bone spur in my left shoulder.

  • @Wolfman, I am able to use a lot more weight this way, and my shoulders are one of the strong points of my physique. Never assume there is only one right way to do an exercise even if you have read or heard that. Once you have trained a long time and trained with many other bodybuilders, you realize we all need to find the best way to do things for ourself.

  • There was a question about arthritis and how I developed it - wish I knew!

  • Shoulder is getting better - I am just grateful to be able to still train reasonably heavy.

  • Oliveroo, did you read the comments below? I already explained this. Please don't ask questions that were already answered in detail.

  • JayBro, your shoulder presses are very, very impressive and I hope that when you have been training as long as me, your joints are in much better shape than mine are now!

  • It was right there in the video description - after 27 years of training I have severe arthritis in both shoulder joints and a large bone spur in the left that requires surgery soon. A full range of motion is not possible for me anymore.

  • @RonHarrisMuscle How did you develop arthritis from training? If anything isn't weight training suppose to improve joint health?

  • strong reps but keep your back touching the back of the chair, your whole back

when your arch your back with only the top back being pushed into the chair your working your chest more then your shoulders...

  • you look like Batista lol

  • @RonHarrisMuscle wow that's impressive i have trouble getting the dumbbells up im going to use your technique thanks :D

  • holy thats awesome and thanks for the inspiration i got diagnosed 3 years ago with severe Rheumatoid Arthritis and am just starting to go back to the gym one shoulder is a mess and both wrists and hands are affected but id rather be at the gym too, things are better tho .but i lol will never be near the weight you just did thats killer .

  • Just like the last 3-4 people I was going to ask about the ROM but I read the description, I hope the shoulders are doing better! Brutal strength!
