Either male or female. They'll both make an ideal companion, buddy, and guard dog. There is no better a breed, no more loyal a friend, an finer canine you will not find.

Some people will tell you that males might be more loving and licky. Though there may be some validity to this, it is individual dog-based.

This video made me cry. Liesl is so beautiful and her looks and mannerisms remind me of a younger version of the dog I had. She is the definition of what a doberman should be; intelligent, beautiful, agile and for the best a sense of humor. If she were ever bred I'd love to be screened for one of her babies. She is wonderful and thank you for posting her. There is absolutely no dog comparable to a good doberman.

I had a dog named Liesl. She was a Welsh terrier though. Still, it's a special name.

your dog is beautiful i have a doberman too but she is european and only 6 months and has a problem that causes her to tilt her head and watchin vids like this make me wish she was normal because doesnt have good balance so she cant do really athletic thing but i would never trade her in because i love her more than anything just hope her problem can be fixed so she can live a happy healthy life like every dog should.

I have to say my favorite part was the fact she didn't jump on the guy playing basketball with her. I can't stand when dogs do that. So, the more I see videos like this the more confident I feel about getting my first dog. And dobbie's are one of my favorite. I've never seen one in person or had the pleasure to play with one. But seeing how beautiful and wonderful they can be is quite thrilling. Thank you!
