OFFICER DOWN

Writer-director Richard Recco (Three Thousand Miles to Graceland) wrote the feature length screenplay Officer Down with the hope of raising financing to make his directorial debut. He partnered with the team at The Outfit to come up with a strategy. OMG worked with Richard to craft a short film script from the feature that would showcase his talent as a director and the viability of the project. OMG then handled the entire production from development through post and even handled the submissions and strategy from film festivals. The result was nothing short of amazing. Officer Down won the Best Short Film Drama Award at Babelgum Film Festival and received the award at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival from Spike Lee and 30,000 € -- more than the entire budget of the short. Officer Down was also recognized as Best Crime Drama Short and Best Local Short Film at the Staten Island Film Festival, and was an official selection at the Vail International Film Festival, Palm Beach International Film Festival, Big Sur International Film Festival, Short Film Corner at Cannes Film Festival, and AFI Dallas International Film Festival.
