A camera pan along the lenght of the Dublin Spire. Taken from the end of Henry Street, facing the Spire, situated in the middle of O'Connell Street. Dublin, Ireland.
Designed by Ian Ritchie Architects. The Spire was erected between December 2002 and January 2003. The Spire stands 120 meters tall.

I am a bit ashamed of the spire to be honest. Its a grey rod in the ground which is entirely devoid of taste, character and meaning. Surely we could have come up with something better.

some dublin architect said the reason no one knows the fuck what its about, is because its a masonic symbol, goes back to the obelisk which captures sunlight symbolising the dawning of a new era, but paradoxially, not an era of enlightenment but of ignorance which is appitmised by the fact the people question its meaning
