I'm probably older than you and wiser, I left school more years ago than I care to remember.

In the UK it is considered the worst fashion combination going and yes you would be ridiculded by both young and old, you live in your little world over there and no idea whats considered fashionable in Europe.

As for being laughed at, I would never in a million years wear socks with sandals so I don't think there is any danger of that!

I live on planet earth, and I know what is practical.

Many "fashionable" shoes leave people with squeezed toes, and ruined feet.

Whenever there is no safety issue, why not give your feet a break and wear socks and sandals?
