Both versions are great, but i feel that zakk pulled more emotional drive on the subject of the song by useing minors and makeing the song sound sad.

Just remember that Zakk Wylde was moved by this great song too. Obviously, he put it on one of his albums. Both versions are great. Stop fighting about which version is better. It really doesn't matter! Just listen to what moves YOU and leave the rest behind! Have an amazing life.
