The Mets went into the bottom of the 9th tied 6-6 with the Cubs (that's after fighting back from a 6-3 deficit). Jose Reyes led off with a single, but both Daniel Murphy (still bunting) and David Wright struck out, forcing the Cubs to walk Carlos Delgado to get to Carlos Beltran. On a 2-0 count, Beltran hit the ball down the right field line, gaining back the fans. With just three games to go, the Mets moved to a game behind the Phillies (who were idle) in the NL East and remain tied with the Brewers for the Wild Card lead.

i was at this game, and you really can't hear it but after the music stopped, a big lets go mets chant broke out to motivate the team to the playoffs, but after seeing last nights game, i guess it didn't work.
