Actress ELIZABETH ASHLEY, who played Maggie in the 1974 revival of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" remembers playwright Tennessee William's words on the play.

By special arrangement with WNET/Thirteen, this episode of "Theater Talk" will premiere on CUNY TV (channel 75 in NYC) March 8 at 8:30 PM; repeats are scheduled for March 9 at 12:30 PM and March 10 at 7:30 AM, 1:30 PM and 7:30 PM. WNET/Thirteen will broadcast the Cat episode April 4.

  • Wow, what I wouldn't give to have seen her in that play. Everybody agrees she was the best. So many great stage performances are lost because nobody thought to just film them.

  • Elizabeth Ashley, to me, was the best at that Role. She made it come alive! She is by far the most gifted, talented actress I ever worked with. Amazing woman!
