Has anyone had any problems with bettas and cories in the same tank? I wanna get a cory for my betta tank, but I won't if they might fight.
-
@Araga686 I don't know if its common, but I had the same problem. My pleco was very aggresive toward my betta, I had to separate them. It was really stressing the betta.

hey i've got a male HM in a 10gal with an emerald greeen cory catfish , an albino cory catfish, and a dalmation molly(male) and my betta is blue-dark blue on the brink of indigo and i've noticed he's losing his colors around were the fins come out, but its on his tail and idk why. i've asked many ppl it and they say old age but he isn't older then 1 1/2yrs. and is it true you can 2 male betas in a 20gal and above????

its old age..... bettas rarley reach 3 years in GOOD care, so its normal for them to die in 1 and a half to 2 years....my betta lived about 3 1/2 years because i took AMAZING care for him.but he died recently and i also have a blue black betta now and he is also losing his color underneath his fins, its turning a white-almost pink color as if the scales werent there.. and yes you can have 2 bettas in a 20...just put a divider in the middle and put each betta in the opposite side every other week

I have a 20 gallon tank. I moved my betta into it this night. A turtle does live in the tank, but that's not what I'm worried about. This may sound a little off colour but this is true, the pleco is the problem. It's a female bristlenose. Aren't they supposed to be good tankmates? or is my pleco just a bit of a bitch?

sadly my betta died two days ago because of the disease called "dropsy" =(...if i were you, you HAVE TO KEEP THE TANK WATER CLEAN!!!!! if you slack off for one day of water changing your betta will get dropsy, other than that i would be more worried bout the turtle...the bristlenose are beautiful creatures, i always wanted one, i cant see why they are going at it..wierd..the betta might be going into the bris. territory, brist. do tend to be fiesty when others enter their territory
