@willizle02 Its electromagnetic radiation. The power source is indeed electricity, but is supplied BEFORE the Magnetron that generates the microwaves. Just like a lamp after lit. Smart one. The old ones just let microwaves slip out, cooking your arm or balls.

@RedentProductions well teacher DID say not to get TOO close to the microwave cuz some are cheap and have cracks so the electricity can get out.... also it can make your microwave die.
