  • If any of you owners of this knife have ever pinched your finger in the locking mechanism while opening or closing this knife, give me a thumbs up. I've had this knife a week and have done it three times. Hurts like hell!! My pinky is right in line with the locking end and when it is opened, that thing snaps into place right on my pinky finger. Ouch!

  • @chuckv5150 did that twice, now one keeps his fingers away from lock. Its a bad habit to grab this dude with 2 hands and pull it open while holding the "end" of the handle, puts your pinky finger in a bad location. Learn Learn Learn...

  • I´m looking forward to what you have to say about it in part two! I have hade my eyes on it for quite some time. I want to have a folder that is as close to a fixed blade as possible and this knife seems to fit the bill.

    Take care! Rob

  • @Andersbork thanks, hopefully within a week I'll have a part two up, been using it every day since I received it, and I'll tell you I like it, for what it is and what it represents in the knife world.

  • Cold Steel offers some fine knives, I think most people will be happy with their Cold Steel purchase. Oddly enough the one I use the most is the Urban Pal; while some like to harass me due to its small size it is perfect for so many daily tasks. If your ego can handle it, put one on your key chain and you'll find you reach for it first for so many jobs like opening packages, letters, cutting string etc. Let the Urban Pal be your workhorse and keep your larger knife sharp and ready to deploy.

  • @saxtx09 I actually was using a "super edge" for a while, as a neck knife and keychain, its my little razor blade.

  • cold steel knives :)

  • I've carried one of those in my pocket every day for 6 months, and I love it. Takes a little practice to get smooth and fast with the locking mechanism, but when you get used to it, it's very easy. The only complaint I could possibly come up with is that the handle is too smooth. I put some strips of duct tape in mine, and it fixed it right up. Excellent knife, overall.

  • I bet I could shave with that thing. I like that locking mechanism, seems safe enough.
