Do a bicep curl, thats a movement with your bicep. Do a throwing motion right now, your bicep is not in use. You also proved my point because the elbow also is never moved in that way...

any time you're flexing your elbow you are using your bicep. im pretty sure you don't keep your elbow extended constantly on the diamond...
