@rea1high lap times make great racing if you are the team or the rider winning . and that was what the lap times were about . maybe people can go slower and do it , but not faster and accomplish the same result. 600 cc streetbike and 800 moto gp bikes are not the same. everyone knows the smaller the bike the easier to lean . i would not have wanted to do it on the old 990 machine either . i sure even harder . given the raw power .

@mushrume lap times don't make great racing.
also, i remember a picture in 'bike' magazine of one of the journalists on an old gixer 600 snail tail properly leant over with his elbow nicely planted on the tarmac. this was well over 10 years ago.

Stoner is tiny gives him a big advantage over big guys like rossie , spies is too large to compete in a game where ounces matter. Stoner is the most skilled rider of gp to ever live best wet track rider ever.
