Raul Malo with the Trishas at the Continental Club

Raul Malo met the Trishas at the Americana Music Awards and liked what he saw and heard. Then Steve Wertheimer invited Raul to play a show after his Austin City Limits Music Festival gig at the historic venue where Raul (with the Mavericks) first ventured onto an Austin stage (with about 25 people at that show, Steve says). Sunday night after Heybale -- and the house was packed, and the show was amazing. And Raul convinced Kelley Mickwee, Liz Foster, Jamie Wilson and Savannah Welch (the Trishas) to join him on stage for this one song. And as you can see the ladies made the most of this big opportunity.
