Visiting Nick Drake

On April 13th, 2009 I hiked my way to Tanworth-in-Arden to visit the home and final resting place of Nick Drake. It was something that I had been wanting to do for about a decade now and actually was on my list of things to do before I kick it so I was extremely happy that I was able to make this little venture. I walked around all day listening to every single album and recording Nick created, had a picnic and just enjoyed my time in this magical little village.

I went here last week with my boyfriend..got the train from London to Birmingham to Danzey, walked up the road to Tanworth-In-Arden. Stayed at the Bell Inn for one night, sat & talked to Nick. It was a visit I will never, ever forget.

Rumor has it that the huge tree behind Nick's gravestone wasn't there when he was buried.

Obviously, I'm joking ... but Nick was pure magic, so ...
