Something different. Its a time lapse I took yesterday (July 13). A facility I use a fair bit. For my recent elemental project (www.elementalproject.com) I have acquired a dedicated time lapse controller (PClix), a very tidy unit which connects, via a cable to my Olympus E3. Yesterday I was blessed with a gorgeous skyscape and used the E3 cw 7-14mm to capture 6hrs of continuous cloud footage. The TL controller was set to expose once every 5s. 6hrs and 4500 images later I exported the lot into PhotoScape for a batch edit. Put together in QT pro at just over 20 frames/s. End result is a wonderful 6hrs in 3 mins. The wind shear (directional change with height) is very evident and which is mesmorising.

  • Beautiful - there is something hypnotic about watching clouds come and go. The upper pattern is also interesting. Well done!
