The video starts off with the VIA train from Ottawa to Toronto, where a GO train with F59PH-2 557 on the rear is passed. Then it's onto The Canadian. I caught this train from Toronto to Jasper. We pass various freight trains and the video ends in Edmonton Yard passing some very old and retired locomotives. This was recorded on an older video camera so the quality may not be as good as some of my recent video's.

  • Why is those women speaking french?

  • Because they might be French or French Canadians. This train sees people travel on it from all over the world.

  • This is awesome! i wish you filmed passing trains or just riding through the Edson subdivision at Jasper or Wabamun...also thats awesome when the Grandma comments on the trains horn lol.

  • @paprna And if you're talking about the announcer, that's because VIA Rail is a federal service, thus they must give service in both of Canada's languages, including the announces. In Québec city, less than 4% of the population, speaks only English, yet, at the train station, they make announces in both languages (though they make the french announce first)

  • @paprna Because there are other language than Enbglish in the world. And Canada has TWO oficial languages, French and English

  • A lot of people speak French in Canada.

  • Amazing*****.
