Bakersfield TV Channels 17, 23 and 29 were on the scene as Marching for California's Future kicked off the march in Bakersfield March 5 to end up in Sacramento for a massive rally. Busloads of people from Southern California started the march which ended up with a rally at Martin Luther Park . The next day several marchers started off to Sacramento on foot. The march is to call attention to the broken nature of California's financial system and to hold politicians accountable for their action (or inactions). The broad coalition includes California Federation of Teachers (CFT) and other unions, leaders in labor, faith, education and business who believe we cannot afford to balance the budget by shortchanging our future and allowing tax cuts for large corporations and millionaires.
I can't help but laugh at these socialist clowns. They still don't get it. California is broke and the USA is broke. We are out of money. In fact, Obama is driving the country toward a currency crisis. A currency collapse is much worse than a depression. Yet, here we see the good-time rock & rollers, now turned teachers, with their hands out to the Government.
