Thailand In Wheelchair

About my experiences as wheelchair user in Thailand. It is a fantastic country to live in for perole with disability.
I have rented a small house in the center of Hua Hin and fend for myself without any form of disability assistance. I also travel alone out there and it works really well at airports, and the 230 km by taxi from Bangkok to Hua Hin.
If other disabled people would like to come out in Thai heat, then I can help you with whatever you need. (airplane, taxi, where to stay, and other things)

Hi... I have pension from denmark, and thats enough for me so i can stay 6 month in thailand every year. I have make long term rent on a small apartment where a pay about 200 dollars per month. And i can live very cheap, because i can eat same food as the thai people. So i don't need to go on fancy restaurent every day.

If you want to come to Hua Hin on holiday.. I know both Villa, hotel and guesthouse there have access for wheelchair. From very cheap till very expensive.

@brijen11 Thanks When is the best time to come to Thailand for a holiday? If I came for 6 monthes what would be involved. You say a 200 a month small apartment, if you come for 6 monthes. If I came for say a short holiday how much is a hotel? I am very poor. Is their any Bangkok Hospital close by? The thai people eat what because that would have to be what I eat to be able to afford to be their. How hot does it get in Hua Hin? I guess it is less hot in Hua Hin then Bangkok? Thanks

The best time for coming depent of you like tourist season, the high seson is from about 1 november to the end of marts. now it's about 35 degree in the day tíme, so it's very hot for me. And the rain seson is just begin, and will last until end of oktober.

There are a brand new Bangkok hospital in Hua Hin. It's just open in November last year. And there are to other hospital too.

U can eat a good thai meal for about 1.1 dollar, meal on BurgerKing or Mc Donalds is about 3 dollars

You write that you are poor. but you have to understan d that nothing is for free and if you want nightlife and some sweet girls, then it will cost you. A beer cost about 2 dollars a drink about 4- 6 dollar. and a girl cost for 1 night including bar fine. about 45-50 dollar + what she ned of drink in the evening before you take her home.

If you find a girlfriend, you also need to pay her every month, because her family need money. So it can be expensive if people not are carful

Thanks for posting. I use braces and crutches and have wanted to teach in Thailand, I am from the U.S now I know its possible to go.
