Went to the H.R. Macmillan Space Center to watch the Radiohead laser light show. I felt like I should have smoked a joint or at least had a glass of red wine before going in... There was a section right infront of the conductor's booth where you could lie down and look above at the 360 degrees of panoramic screens - that's where my best friend and I were. It was cozy, but that was before we realized that we were propped against the smoke machine (which went into full blast during the last 15 minutes).

The lights for this particular show played off of Radiohead's more experimental pieces - though the rendition of Paranoid Android in lights was spectacular! There were spirographics, random clips of stock prices, bright, larger-than-life flashes of red and white, random fluorescent faces...it a deep virtual space warp mixed with a warm-hug-from-a-mysterious-stranger-under-alley-dim-street-lights kind of feeling.

They do a Pink Floyd show there too - I think it features tracks from The Wall, but I'm not 100% sure.

I was hoping to hear Karma Police and Creep, but that didn't happen...though I still left feeling very inspired for the night!

For large chunks of the show, Harold would fill up the room with a galaxy of stars and take us around to see the planets. I've was born with a pre-existing theory in my head (maybe from my past life) about how we all really are stars. I remember drifting off in like grade 2 and knowing it as if it were common sense. My theory is that everyone has their own star and when our spirit is finished with this lifetime, our star turns into a black hole which leads you into the afterlife. I know, it's a bit out there - and I don't remember/know what happens when you die, but I felt convinced of my theory when I was listening to the magic of Radiohead and seeing a clear projection of outer space.

What do you think will happen when you die?
