@darkgarb555 There is no way he sight-played it - I know and still play this piece, and have amazing sightreading skills (if I may say so myself), and there is no way in HELL anyone can sight play this haha. Probably said it just for the amusement

Makes every single other recording of this, no matter how great, seem dull in comparison.
He sets an incredibly fast tempo without seeming fast in that it is neither sloppy not rushed but instead at a tempo both he and his accompanist can play easily.

So good is his sight-reading that he doesn't even have to look at the sheet music. I bet if you hid his violin, he could play it almost as well without the instrument. I just wish he would come to London occasionally and spend less time pandering to White House dignitaries.
