We need to try again to create a world where no one is left out. A world where everyone has enough to eat, and everyone has good health care, and a place in society that gives them dignity. We need to create a world where reason triumphs over superstition, where compassion wins over the mindless drive to conquer at any cost. The USSR was not utopia, neither is any other nation on earth. But at least the Russian people tried, and for that I honour them. May they rise again.
