After a few hours of crying on my bed, I realized it was late and I got ready to sleep. But something caught my attention as I was putting on my shorts. \

The trees outside the one window werent moving at all, and they had been whistling with excitement just a few hours before. The wind was very strong, and I doubted it had cooled down in the time I had cried. The weather man had said the wind would be going on until the morning.

Just then, as I looked more closely at the trees, they were swaying again, and I sat down on my bed dumbfounded.

The same rush of energy went through me as it had when the time freezing episode had been going on. It seemed that the same thing was happening because the sky had turned from a dark blue to a very dark black. I closed my eyes and shook my head like I had done the first time my superstition had appeared.

Just then I heard a floor board creak, and my head flew to the direction I had heard it coming from. For a slip second I saw a shadow, but then it disappeared before I could tell what it was from. I almost hyperventilated because I was so frightened.

First the time freezing in the classroom, then the trees, then the shadow. It was very confusing and unexpected. I felt as if someone was watching me or something superstitious. I just shook my head again and got my shorts on for bed.

As I crept into the little cot I had found in the attic, I sighed deeply and tried to shake the feeling of being watched. It was almost impossible to sneak into the attic because there were a million servants in the mansion, and there was only one small window that was impossible for someone to climb into. Whatever was going on, I had to shake it off or I wasnt going to get any sleep.

After I closed my eyes, they opened again after what had felt like a lifetime and I just starred at the ceiling, thinking about my silly superstition the previous night before.

The change I had felt a few days before had come true. I was not a very superstitious person, but I was starting to believe that ghosts existed because of the shadow I had seen. Whatever was going on, it seemed to have happened because of Nick, but I knew that was impossible.
