@CrimsonChampions "Fooled Around and Fell in Love" was a single by blues guitarist Elvin Bishop. It appeared on his 1975 album "Struttin' My Stuff". Bishop felt his gravelly voice didn't do the song justice, and invited vocalist Mickey Thomas who was a background singer in his band at the time, to sing it. The song peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in May 1976. Based on his work with Bishop, Thomas was invited to become the lead singer for Jefferson Starship.

Roamrod should not have covered this song. Mickey Thomas nailed this back in the day when he was singing with Elvin Bishop. Sometimes I wonder if the urban legend about Rod getting his stomach pumped is actually true.

Elvin nailed it and Rod did a good job. The music of the 70's will never be topped. Life was awesome in the 70's. The greatest music will never be but the 70's. No time in history was music this outstanding. I was blessed to have live this music during my High School day. Thank you Lord.
