Is the head ported or no?
-
how is your idle set. are you having any problems or did you set your idle at 2k rpms?
-
Do you know what your torque numbers are?
-
Looks and sounds great, I can't wait to see it in person!

Now, you should throw a plenum on those ITB's and attach a turbo to that engine.

Torque is 135 @ 6200. I just uploaded another vid. 0-60 MPH 4.3 sec. and you get to see how it takes a tight turn and accelerates out of it. Next Mod. Just bolting in cams with undershim buckets and maybe 200WHP on pump gas. We are only using 10:5.1 CR with a slightly shaved head.

No plans for a Turbo for this motor. I wanted the fastest Miata that could be the fastest on a mountain course and a circuit track. I couldn't rev a Turbo to 9000 RPM. That's why we went ITB's for a light weight Miata. After NJ I will get on tracks that many Turbo Miata's have been on to compare times. ITB + Turbo will work good on a big HP circuit & possibly on a mid HP circuit.

Thanks! This past Sunday we took 1st in the Redline Time Attack Modified class at Nashville Superspeedway. Runnerup was a Viper & I was told by others that we were pulling away from a RSX on the long straight. Over 200 WHP Naturally Aspirated will be easy on race fuel and more agressive cams without higher comression pistons & stroker kit. Next event is RTA New Jersey at the end of August.
