@ramron333 Thanks for the recommendation! I'd never heard of Cara Dillon. Her voice makes me think of a female Dougie MacLean (which is praise indeed). And I do like her version of Verdant Braes of Screen although I found the piano accompaniment less to my taste. But, yes, remarkable performer. Thanks for the tip!!
One of my top favourite Corrie songs. Clearly a lot of thought went into the arrangement and harmonies. Paddie did another version with the Fureys in 1968 that (for me) actually tops this one and then recorded it again on a later cassette.
