On Friday, July 30th, Congressman Scott Murphy (NY-20) spoke on the House floor about his legislation, the Small Business Tax Relief Act of 2010, which will be voted on by the House today. This legislation will eliminate the 1099 reporting provisions found in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, close loopholes for corporations that ship jobs overseas, and remove a significant financial and regulatory burden on small businesses.
