The Next Chris Sharma? Perhaps? Come back in 10 years and find out.. He has been climbing for 4 months.

He has more determination than I have ever seen in a young child. If he cant figure out a problem he will keep trying it for hours.

Oh to be young again!

  • To be honest he wasn't very good those routes were so easy I could do them with my eyes closed. Definitely not the next chris sharma.

  • @CrazyXClimber You are right those routes are not that hard. Especially for an adult or older child. Take a look at the newer videos in the responses section above. Those are a bit more difficult.

  • @CrazyXClimber You are probably right. What a kid does at 5 does not translate into what he will do at 20 or 25. However, the one thing Sharma has consistently done is dedicate his entire life to climbing. This boy is now 8 and he has been competing for the last 3 years. He simply has a passion for it at a very young age. If he continues to do this for the next decade then he will almost certainly be a good climber. If not then at least he will have fun doing it as a kid.

  • Dude, I hope your a climber too, not just another dumb ass who projects what the can't do on their kids?

  • @canttouchdazz When my son started climbing two years ago I was terrified of heights and I thought I would never be able to climb with him. However, I realized that in order to enjoy sports with my kids I would have to overcome those fears. I have done that and I climb with both my kids about 3 times a week indoors. My son and I also take climbing trips outdoors 3-4 times a year. I haven't progressed as quickly as my son has but I still enjoy being able to climb with the kids.

  • when he grows old enough to ecomplish anything with his climbing he'll be bored of it because his dad pushed him too much at such young age

  • @mmagozer Watch the latest videos above. Does this look like a bored climber to you? You are probably right. Most likely he won't have this level of interest in the sport forever. However, he hasn't shown any signs of getting bored with it in the 2 years since this video was filmed.

  • @CrazyXClimber That boys only 5, give him a break. Hes pretty good for that age.

  • @canttouchdazz if you wanna go with that type of parenting i hope your fuckin amazing at call of duty. who cares if his dad doesnt climb(which yes, i can see that he does*kudos sir*) if your active enough to get your kid involved in an activity thats this beneficial to them, who cares if you can do it or not. i'm willing to bet the most die hard hockey or football fans can't play worth a damn but they sure support their team, and in this case, he supports his kid. dumb ass

  • @canttouchdazz So because I suck at soccer and my kid shows talent, I shouldn't push him to become better? That makes no sense..

  • Dude i don't know why everyone is being so negative, you are a bad ass dad and in no way does it seem like you're being crazy or too controlling, props for backing your kids on their interests and hobbies!

  • Cooler Dynamo!

  • @koolguy21able It's not about who can climb what. It is about pushing your limits. Not someone else's limits unless you are at the top of the world rankings.

  • That could have been done static
