New 66 Channel MTK GPS engine have appeared that have better sensitivity that the 52 and 32 channel GPS. It's still not fully realised if the 66 channel has any adverse issues, thus far it seems to be a good engine. The M-1200 is still a first class GPS. The sister GPS is the M-1000 in theory is better but is bulkier. With a larger battery it lasts twice as long as the M-1200 and better signal reception with a larger path antenna.
