Your video is very touching, actually heartbreaking. I am sitting here with tears, and though I didn't know Miyah, I feel like I did. She is a beautiful girl, and the puppy footage is precious. You are so lucky to have this record of her life.

@nancyschutt that's very kind of you. It's a week tomorrow. This would have been her last night last week, I guess I was putting it off and hoping she'd get better, but last Tuesday she was up all night, panting and looking very distressed. She couldn't cope any more and I didn't want her to be drugged with too much painkiller all the time. Very sad - but I guess the responsibility you take on with a pet. Thanks so much though. Sorry it upset you.

I am so sorry for your loss. Truly. I know how devastating it is. When my dog died it took a week to become functional again, the grief was so consuming. Then it started to change, and eventually became pure appreciation and gratitude for the time I had with my wonderful friend. It does get better. But your note has brought tears to my eyes again.

My dog brownie died march 2 2012 ill miss him

Princess, my beautiful collie, said her goodbyes on Jan. 26th.

I know she's still with me and she's the best friend I've ever had.

So strange how things worked out... we were going to put her down the very next morning, but I prayed and asked that she leave this world naturally and she did just that, less than 24 hours before we would have went to the vets.

Thank you god, please continue watching over her.

RIP Bosco as well, you were a good friend and your family loved you with all their heart
