I think yes it is compatible with vray and VUE is integrable with almost all 3d softweres as i heart from that guy in that presentation of VUE...
I thought this was going to turn out not very nice looking, but then it turns into more of a piece of artwork than a realistic looking planet. I'll have to try this out when I get Vue 8 Complete for my birthday :D (My current Vue 8 Pioneer obviously doesn't have ecosystems.)

@BucciPhotography how is vue compatibe with vray? can i asaign vraymaterials to vue objects? is vraysun affecting the vue terrain and sky?

3ds max is great but i love VUE because of its ready to use atmospheres, materials etc...

I think it's much better to make space scenes and planets in programmes like Blender, Cinema 4D or Max.

There might be some way to export maps, though I see it very unlikely - few games have their own map editors.
