What a wonderful email. That is just TOO cool! I bet you are very proud of your Oscar winning Grandfather. I am not sure but I think the Oscar was awarded in 1961 for "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and I was born in 1961...so, while your Grandfather was winning awards, I was laying in a crib wondering what to make of the world :D I would love a picture of his Oscar as I really enjoy things like that.

@Jackolackolack Johnny Mercer was a very gifted person. Loved his music since I was a kid and first heard his songs over the radio. I lived in an apartment house in Brooklyn, NY and I remember in the summer time when windows were opened (no one could afford air-conditioners) and you would here Mercer's music floating out of the windows of the neighborhood. It was a great time in my life. I'm going to be 62 years old this year but Mercer's music always puts a smile on my face.
