186KW MY03 WRX Putty Road New South Wales

5.00am in October 2007 Winter mornning Putty Road NSW 10 Klms from the small township of Bulga heading south up hill to Windsor via Putty (Back way from Singleton to Sydney west) Subaru WRX MY03, ECUtek Stage 2 Flash, FMIC, VF34 Turbo, Unequal Length Headres, NON Cat Up-Pipe, 3" Turbo Back exhaust, HDI Electronic Boost control (Max Psi 18'), Cold air induction kit with K&N Pod Filter, Hybrid Turbosmart BOV. Fantastic road, unable to really get right into it as this is a public road and have to stay on LHS of raod as much as possible, Max speed of 160Klms, You will notice towards end over-reved engine as run out of brakes and had to compression brake and backed off complettely as road was also wet from low cloud/Foggy conditions, Brave not totally stupid, well that's my opinion, Cheers and REX on.

Are you local to putty road? Your lines are not dedicated at all from the looks of it, nor is that safe.

Please don't become an hero. Go to a track. Who knows, if your so pro you may even win.

Give the guy a break ... You do not know how fast he is going , nor do you know if he is crossing the double white lines !!! As you can't see either ... He's not that stupid ... And there has been plenty of times that I have been overtaken by wanna be Michael Doohans doing over 150klm/hr

i like you vid though...but use caution and be AWARE on public roads. even at 5am there were like 3 oncoming vehicles. nice sounding rexxy, get it to eastern creek or wakefield park and really give it hell! :)

i lost my licence a few years ago being a tool on the roads. was a good lesson that i need to get my fix on the track, not doing 160kph down mcarrs creek road.... :(

heres a tip...stop buying engine mods and get braided brake cables, bigger master cylinder with a brace, DBA 5000 slotted discs plus matched high performance pads and your wrx will actually be able to stop after 8 minutes of work...if you ever get it to a track where you are going at 100%, brakes are the biggest liability on a road car. more power just means you cook your rotors and pads sooner. always start with brakes, then suspension/handling, then power.

Wouldn't want this WRX after this guy owned it lol, too hard on the engine, hitting the red line now and then in a Subaru is fine but this is too much punishment on the poor boxer engine.

half you nimwits commenting do worse in your bike every day off the week, he did cross double lines big flucken deal, he only ventured there knowing there was nothing else on the road, he didnt go blind around corners either.... watch the vid and you will see he would have the vision to see whats coming , if nothing then he use's the other side of the road.....he had a sensible spirited drive, not once did he understeer or oversteer and have to correct, sensible driving with good awareness.
