Occupy London Protest (20mins coverage)

This video shows a part of the third day of action against banker and capitalist sleaze, Monday October 17th 2011.

The very nice activist, "Venus" seen here, told me that the police had "kettled" the demonstrators on the first day, but were told by the Cathedral authorities that the churchyard belonged to them, is private land, and that they are happy for the protest to continue. Two of the clergy resigned their posts later
The intended place of demonstration was the London Stock Exchange, but that has been prevented by the land owners.

"Venus" mentioned "Kettling". That is the word for the containment (detainment) of many people in a small area; giving those people no food, water, or toilet facilities for hours at a time. It is threatening and violates human rights. It also makes anyone so kettled consider violence against police. Time it was stopped. It maybe one of the added reasons for the riots last August; people don't like to be contained, and try to avoid it at all costs, leading to other flashpoints.

New laws will dictate that the police will be able to order the removal of face coverings in any future demonstrations. I seem to remember that police were ordered to never have their faces covered, yet we still see them wearing Balaclavas (though not during this demo) Why?

After reading the notices that "Venus" was handing out, I fully comprehend why it is that she didn't wish to take off her Guy Fawkes mask; she belongs (if that is the right word) to the group called "Anonymous". and I shall type out an extract from those leaflets soon.
I hope that the banksters and capitalists that are ruining the world take note of the global support that the original Wall Street sit-in is getting.
The main street media like the BBC., ITV and Sky News ignored that occupation of Wall Street for over three weeks.
Sky News is seen in this video interviewing a local office-worker, in his shirtsleeves.Permission has been received for the protest to continue here until the new year, 2012, so I shall probably pay another visit or two for updates.
The placards and notices around the state of Queen Anne, shown early in this video,have for the most part, been removed.
