what are the materials and procedure of this experiment pls answer?

Basically there are three types classifications for magnetizable [ for lack of better word ] materials.Ferromagnetic materials: Strongly magenizable like iron, nickle cobalt etc.,Paramagnetic materials: Weakly magenizable like Aluminum, copper etc., Diamagnetic materials: They repel magnetism. Bismuth, Carbon graphite etc.,
super conductors are strongly diamagnetic. They a magnet and opposing force of magnetic repulsion would cause the phenomenon known as magnetic levitation.

can u plzz elaberete it's mechanism???

cool...

looks like dry ice and two repelling magnets.

its like a north and south on one end

superconductor
nandigama3 *Super conductors repel magnets...
The superconductor does not repels the magnets (the oposite pole does) the Superconductor makes a diamagnetic fase transformation, that means the magnetic field can not pass through it. Not only the magnet is on a minimun Energy between the Gravitatory force, the Magnetic field - the diamagnetic coin, all the system does. if the superconducting repels magnets, it should not fly when the boy takes the magnet !

The black block in the ceramic cup is perhaps YBCO [ yttrium barium copper oxide ] or BiScO type II High temperature superconductor which will become super conducting in liquid nitrogen temperatures range. The substance is ceramic in nature and is non conductive at room temperatures. The metal object is a regular magnet.
Super conductors repel magnets instead of being attracted to them
This is called magnetic levitation.
Japanese MagLev trains work on this principle.
